Chinese computing giant Lenovo has announced the opening of its first High-Performance Computing (HPC) Innovation Centre, located in Stuttgart, Germany. Built in partnership with chip maker Intel, Lenovo's HPC Innovation Centre opened this week to provide access to an infrastructure based around the Xeon E5 2600 v3 processor and Mellanox EDR 100Gb/s InfiniBand interconnect. Naturally, the company's own technology is also a focus: the company's NeXtScale System HPC platform is where you'll find the aforementioned technology residing.
